Residential Land approached our sister company Earthware after they had seen our interactive mapping product in the London Executive website which had won them an award. Residential Land own 20+ buildings in very highly valued postcodes in London containing over 1,200 individual apartments that they let either directly or via agents.
As Residential Land were considering how to integrate the mapping into their website, they came to the view that they needed to totally upgrade their website and the underlying database and technology otherwise the mapping would stick out like a sore thumb (in a positive way!). The Technology Studio was invited to pitch for the website project.
Why The Technology Studio?
Initially (and in fact as a policy) we explained that we don’t pitch for websites unless we (or another developer) have created schematics or wireframes for the proposed site. When we explained in detail why we do this, Residential Land invited us to do the schematics stage of their project with a view of using this to run a pitch process with a number of London based web developers. As it turned out and as a result of working with us at this stage, Residential Land felt confident enough that they were happy to have us build the entire site without the need for a formal pitch process!

Their unique use of schematics during the design process helped us to decide exactly what we required before the development started. Quite simply this process saved us time and money.

Post Script
